As far back as October 2005, I reported on the leaked plans of the "respect division" of the Labour government. May I suggest that you read it (or reacquaint yourself with it) before we go any further... Back so soon? Are you sure that you read it all?! OK, good! So why are we to be concerned about this now? Well, mainly because the Labour government denied almost all of the "wild and ridiculous claims" of the alternative media at the time but, as ever, it appears that they were just waiting for the right time to spring this upon us. And the right time is most clearly NOW! Let's get one thing straight at this point, if you are of the mind that "convicting people of a crime" (do bear in mind that ASBO's are NOT issued to criminals, they are issued to people who did not actually break a law and that is why the judicial system cannot get within a mile of them) without them either:
is perfectly reasonable enough, stop reading this article, buy yourself a copy of Blair Sexy Butt monthly and pucker up... If, however, you think that the British legal system was designed to deal with crime and criminals and anybody being penalised under any other system outside of it is a disgrace to any society that believes itself free and fair, read on! I warned you in October...
The above list is by no means exhaustive...I have been warning you for over a year now and yet these hideous pieces of Draconian and Orwellian legislation just keep on filtering through without so much a whimper. The critics of these bills are too quiet, albeit not helped by this sort of behaviour from the mainstream media:
And I would have to say that the critics have a damned good point there. The people who are going to be sent to these "Sin Bins" - catchily named to divert your attention away from the idea that they are, in fact, prisons without evidence, trials, convictions or sentences - are being treated barbarically by a system that claims it is trying to end barbarism! Which would all be fine and dandy were it not followed up in the very next sentence by...
In a moment I will make sure that I have a handle on exactly what this lunatic Nazi trollop has just been quoted as saying, but I think that it is worth noting first that the phrasing of that paragraph very much suggests that this practice which is without any merit whatsoever is a good idea because it works. Beating a man to death with the wet end of his own arm is absolutely guaranteed to stop him from trying to dodge a train fare, but that does not necessarily make it the correct course of action, now does it?! As promised, a little look at what the Nazi trollop had to say for herself... Can you believe that she actually claims that putting untried, unconvicted, unsentenced, uncriminals (sorry...could not POSSIBLY resist the Orwellian slip there!) into something that is exactly like a prison but with a different name is a "harsh regime" that is "effective"?!! Does she not sound just like a pointlessly stereotypical mad scientist in some end of the world movie who manages to take a plot to kill us all that is utterly hideous and repugnant to anybody with any moral fibre whatsoever and rationalise it by virtue of a set of God-complex decisions made by people who should never have been the keys to the lab in the first place?! Of course it does and that is the underlying problem here...The government has a God-complex. Refusing to offer NHS treatment to smokers, some of the highest contributors to the tax fund that pays for the NHS is a perfect example of this. As is the invasion of Iraq which was vehemently opposed by the vast majority of people around the world including in the UK and was based on nothing more than a pack of not particularly well crafted lies but went ahead anyway. As is the introduction of the ID Card which most people in the UK are totally opposed to and yet Blair has himself told us that the ID Card will become a reality regardless... Whose mandate are they working to here? The voters or their own predetermined agenda? It seems that they are paid by us to do our bidding but, in truth, they are simply stealing our money and doing what the hell they like anyway. The fact is we are being controlled and cajoled by a government that is running amok. Many may claim that these measures are necessary to ensure that society is returned to a normal, functioning and even positive state rather than accept the obvious truth - The tougher the legislation gets the worse the problem gets. Put simply the government's measures are either not working, are having the opposite effect or we are being convinced that the UK is a terrifying and dangerous place to live and we should put all of our trust and faith in a bunch of lying, cheating, overrated control-freaks by the use of visuals and sound bites designed to do nothing more. And that is an avenue that is worth further investigation... If, as I genuinely believe, the government are simply trying every trick in the book to get us to roll over and accept whatever they throw at us then how cunning would it be for the very action they take being directly responsible for the need for further action?! For example, the government tells us that there are "hoodies" and they are out to get all of the everyday decent folk. What happens? Everyday decent folk believe them and allow whatever measures the government deems necessary to be ushered into law. However, other areas get a kick-start from this too. Focus groups, committees, study groups and more are set up to get a better idea of the scale of the problem. These groups look harder for the white swan than anybody has ever looked before and so, inevitably, they end up with the conclusion that there are no black swans! Thus the figures are sent to the press and the government get to demand even stronger powers to tackle an even broader cross-section of society. And then they set up focus groups etc etc etc. To make matters worse, the government are actually getting away with this little charade. Why is the government not keeping its election promise of "tough on crime, tough on the CAUSES of crime"... Or maybe, with Super ASBOs and Intervention Orders, they are! They are going to criminalise everybody until they own you, literally, for the entire span of your life. Yes, some will say that I am being alarmist and maybe rightly so. But should I be anything else? Is the mainstream media doing anything to get the seriousness of this and any other important issue across to you? So, unfortunately, if I am the one to tell you how bad it is, I really should make sure that I tell you how much worse it really could become if left unchecked. The "motto" of this site is Start The Revolution :: Because life should be better, and that is exactly the point here. Stop letting them make life harder and more painful for people and let's get some semblance of reality back again. Society has always been able to depend upon itself to sort things out. Yes there are bad people around but there are nowhere near as many as is suggested and there are nowhere near enough steps being taken to stop people from wanting or even needing to carry out the crimes in the first place. If this article goes by virtually unnoticed which, in the great scheme of things is perfectly normal, then you had better start shouting from the rooftops, handing out flyers in the street and explaining it to everybody and anybody that will listen and a few that won't before there is nobody left to speak up for them. Please? If this article has not yet motivated you to do so then try this final quote for size...
Are you kidding me?!

| Sunday 5th November 2006 | The Press Association Original article entitled "Yobs 'should be sent to sin bins'" | link | |

Anti-social behaviour chief Louise Casey said she wanted to extend family intervention projects so they could also accommodate "chaotic" individuals. Some 50 "sin-bins" are currently being started up across the country, but they only cater for families who have a history of causing misery for their neighbours. Problem clans are moved out of their council houses and into the secure centres. Critics have claimed the boarding-school-style projects are nothing more than open prisons for people who have not been sentenced by the courts. But, in an interview with the Independent on Sunday, Ms Casey said she had seen evidence that the harsh regimes were effective. "Family intervention projects - I really believe this is the approach that will work," she said. "It ain't cheap and it also isn't easy. Basically it's the end of the road." Ms Casey disclosed that she was working with other Whitehall units to adapt the centres so they could also take in single people. "The priority was to do families, because they have children, first. But we are working on doing something for chaotic adults where the same approach will be taken. Obviously we have to get these family intervention projects up and running first." Ms Casey said plans were being drawn up to extend parenting courses - which provide tips on topics such as discipline and diet - across the country. There will also be powers for imposing compulsory parenting orders on families with tearaway children. "If you are not going to take parenting help then we are going to make you take parenting help," she added. |
